When Fares Farm bought Truart for $150,000 out of the 2009 Keeneland Nov. sale, hopes were high for the farm's newest broodmare.

Things are off to a promising start as her 2-year-old filly brought the fourth-highest price, $250,000, at the Ocala Breeders’ Sales Company’s 2010 February Select Sale of Two-Year-Olds in Training.

Consigned by Crupi's New Castle Farm, Agent, the gray filly by Rockport Harbor was purchased by the sale's leading buyer, Amy Tarrant's Hardacre Farm.

Truart was graded stakes-placed at age two in the Adirondack (G2) at Saratoga, and is a half-sister to a pair of stakes-placed runners in Yasou Daniel and Niko the Greek. She is currently in foal to Hard Spun.
